The goal of the Department of Mechanical Engineering is to provide an education that builds within students a solid foundation in Mechanical Engineering principles, so that they can achieve their goals. Prepares graduates who are motivated and have the ability for lifelong growth in their professional careers.
Characteristics:
Students are strongly advised to consult with the Mechanical Engineering Department prior to registering for this course. The courses include: Calculus, Graphic Science, Applied Mechanics, Mechanics of Material, Mechanical Materials, Thermal Engineering, Mechanism, Design of Machine Elements, and Mechanical Engineering Experiments. There are divisional required courses which consist of Hydraulic and Pneumatic Control, Internal Combustion Engine and Manufacturing Processes.
The laboratories of this department include the study of Fluid Power Control such as Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Fluid Mechanics, Balancing Test, and the Mechanical Vibration Test, Hardness Test, Heat Simulation, and Railway System Simulation. Laboratory equipment includes Pneumatic and Hydraulic equipment and many others
